Okita is based on a well-known historical figure of the same name.
He is a part of the "Echoes of a Beautiful Banquet" story arc along with Ushiwakamaru, Amakusa and Genji.
This release of Okita Souji is an entirely different headmold to the version released in at HomeTown Dolpa Kyoto 7 in 2010. They are different takes on the same historical figure, hence why they share the same name.
